Eastern Sierra Hotsprings and Mines 10/08 : Theresa and I drove over to the Eastern Sierra and hit a few hotspirngs, met up with Bex and David and a few of their goecacher friends for some 4x4, arches and mine exploration. Fun weekend with a lot of action.

Tomalas Point Dayhike 5/08 : 10 mile dayhike to Tomalas Point with Theresa and Tom. It was in the 90's inland, we escaped the heat and saw millions of wildflowers. The point was fogged in so no views afar, but plenty to see close up :) Uneditted and straight out of the camera.

Lava Beds National Monument Carcamp Easter 08' : We joined David and Bex up in the North Eastern corner of CA. Near Klamath Oregon. Lava Beds has many caves and history to explore. The kids loved it! even though it got down into the lower 20's, pretty cold for the girls, but they survived and even got their Jr. Ranger badges! :)

Yosemite Valley 1/08 : Theresa and I headed to the Valley for some sightseeing, photography and hiking. Bex and David joined us on Saturday. We saw 2 bobcats, a ringtail cat, plenty of deer and a racoon that wanted to dance. Love Yosemite in the winter, so quiet and peaceful. We also had brunch at the Awahanee, pricey but fun! My computer is down so these are straight out of the camera with no editing.

Fall Color East Side Sierra and Mono Lake 9/07 : Headed to Mono Lake and the East side for some fall color. Spent Friday night at the Gateway Motel on Mono Lake, paid twice as much as I should have for the room, way run down hotel. Met David(Drunken Marmot) in Bishop on Saturday after a morning of fall photography up various canyons from 395. We had a great lunch at Amigo's then spent the rest of the day fishing and taking pictures up near South lake, had a nice meal and awesome beer at Upper Crust Pizza. Camped at Horton Creek, a nice quiet primative campground off 395. Fished some more Sunday morning at a nearby lake and Rock Creek. Nice leisurly trip, I'll have to remember to do more of these ;)

Shelter Cove Girls Campout 4/07 : A few of us girls from Nor Cal Hiking spent the night at Shelter Cove before our Lost Coast Backpack, we wandered around and ended up playing pool at the Golf clubhouse and having dinner at the local restaurant. The town will never be the same.

Big Sur Car Camp 1/07 : Stayed at Kirk Creek one night, nice campspot on the bluff above the ocean south of Big Sur. Day hiked Andrew Molera, loved watching the shorebirds and surfers. Enjoyed crisp, clear weather and had a most excellent time ;)

Sonoma Coast Car Camp 12/06' : Theresa, Maria and I headed out on a car camp to Bodega Dunes, high surf kept us from our original destination, Wright's beach. We had a great time hanging out and taking a couple hikes. Rain and wind added to the experience.

Santa Cruz Island Campout June 06' : David, Rebecca, Karen, Lisa, Candace and I headed to the largest Channel Island out of Ventura Harbor. We enjoyed beautiful weather and many gorgeous sites including the endangered Red Fox found only on the Channel Islands. I look forward to exploring the other four Islands in this group!
